Gianmarco Pozzecco agrees to join ASVEL

After Gordon Herbert turned down the opportunity, Gianmarco Pozzecco accepted the position of head coach at ASVEL.

According to sources from Eurohoops, he will continue to lead the Italian national team as well.

Eurodevotion and Giuseppe Sciascia were the first to announce Pozzecco as a potential candidate for the open position in the Villeurbane team.

The Italian Basketball Federation granted permission to Pozzecco, allowing him to make his debut as the head coach of the French side in the EuroLeague.

ASVEL parted ways with coach T.J. Parker after facing four consecutive losses in the elite European competition, making it a total of 17 consecutive losses, including the previous season.

Additionally, it is anticipated that Edoardo Casalone will join ASVEL as an assistant coach alongside Pozzecco.
