The United States Department of Justice is reportedly investigating accusations against the NBA, alleging anticompetitive behavior aimed at hindering the growth of Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league.

The inquiry explores claims that the NBA sought to prevent sponsors and potential partners from doing business with the Big3, as well as discouraging television networks from broadcasting its games.

Launched in 2017 by Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz, the Big3 is a 3-on-3 league primarily composed of retired NBA players. The NBA has denied these allegations.
