During an interview with Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints, New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum provided insights into the exceptional potential of his teammate, Zion Williamson.
McCollum expressed his confidence in Williamson’s abilities, highlighting the possibility of the young player reaching the zenith of success in the NBA.
With expectations set as high as All-Star, MVP, and All-NBA First Team, McCollum’s comments underscore the magnitude of Williamson’s talent and the impact he could have in the league.
Despite injuries hindering his progress, McCollum remains optimistic about Williamson’s future and eagerly anticipates witnessing the young star’s full potential unleashed during a complete and healthy NBA season.
“I’m unsure what his ceiling is, but I think his ceiling is definitely All-Star, MVP, All-NBA First-Team. Which is as good as it gets,” McCollum said.
“So I’d say he’s as good as it gets when he’s healthy and is able to put together a full season, so I’m looking forward to seeing him do just that.”
Last season Zion averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 33 minutes over 29 games for the Pelicans.
