Stepping onto the NBA stage after being the runner-up with Olympiacos at the 2023 EuroLeague Final Four, Sasha Vezenkov is settling into his new life with the Sacramento Kings.

In his debut against the Raptors, he entered as a substitute, scoring 12 points. The following game against the Lakers saw him in the starting lineup.

Despite the team experiencing defeats in both preseason matchups under Mike Brown’s coaching, Vezenkov remains unwavering in his dedication to making necessary adjustments.

As he gears up to face the Golden State Warriors in the upcoming preseason game, the player wearing Sacramento’s number 7 shared his thoughts on the distinctions he has observed between European and NBA basketball.

“The game is different, is faster,” Vezenkov said. “I’m trying my best and I feel like I’m in good shape and level. We’re trusting our philosophy, the pace and spacing.

“We’re trusting all the things that brought this team so high last year, so we want to build from here. I know the standards are high, but [we need] patience and hard work.”
