Ex-Phoenix Suns star Amar’e Stoudemire wrapped up his basketball career in Israel, where he co-owned a club until 2023.

After an attack on Israel, he swiftly showed strong support, condemning those backing Hamas – the group behind the missile launch – and those staying silent on Israel’s side in an Instagram post.

“I woke up this morning with some disturbing news out of Israel that Hamas [are] kidnapping children, putting them in cages, killing women, killing the elderly. That’s some coward st,” Stoudemire said passionately.

“That’s cowardly. And for all y’all Black Live Matter [supporters] who ain’t saying nothing, [saying] ‘Let me figure out exactly what’s happening before saying anything’, fk you.”

A Minnesota native and former NBA player Royce White took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the issue:

“Amare Stoudemire telling it like it is. Leftist hypocrites showing how sick they really are. No women or children! It’s been the honor code since time immemorial… But an ideological movement that can’t define a woman and struggles with boundaries for children would lose touch.”
