Maccabi to play Valencia at La Fonteta instead of Tel Aviv

Because of the continuing strife in Israel, the EuroLeague Round 2 game between Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Olimpia Milano at the Mediolanum Forum was halted.

Maccabi intends to move their team to Cyprus and get back into play at the earliest opportunity. Valencia has stepped in to host Oded Kattash’s team in Round 3, a match that was initially scheduled for Tel Aviv.

“The match on Wednesday, October 18th, changes venue and will be played at La Fonteta at 8:30 p.m. on the same day,” per Valencia‘s official statement.

With sports on hold in Israel amid the state of emergency triggered by the Hamas attack, Maccabi might resume play in La Fonteta, Valencia. The rescheduling of the suspended match against Olimpia Milano remains uncertain.
