Kawhi Leonard is now in the third year of his four-year, $176 million contract with the Clippers.
While he is eligible to sign an extension, the two-time NBA champion has expressed that there is no rush to finalize the deal.
“We’re good,” Leonard stated. “I came here in 2019 to be a Clipper. Me and the front office are good… It hasn’t been nothing that we’ve rushed on their side or my side.”
Since joining the Clippers, Leonard’s tenure has been marred by injuries, including missing the entire 2021-22 season.
Despite the setbacks, both Leonard and the Clippers seem to be on the same page regarding their long-term partnership.
