LeBron James, the 38-year-old Lakers superstar, has confirmed his interest in representing Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
With one Olympic bronze (2004) and two gold medals (2008 and 2012) already to his name, James is considering adding another Olympic chapter to his storied career.
During the Lakers’ Media Day press conference, LeBron was asked about his interest in playing in Paris and the potential physical toll it could take on him.
“Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do. I do have interest,” he said. “But as far as the physical toll, I don’t know. I’ll see how I feel at the end of the season.
“But from the players that we have here and that I can think of off the top of my head that could fill that roster up, I don’t think it’d be too much of a physical toll. I wouldn’t have to do much. I mean, rebound a little bit, pass a little bit, defend, block some shots. But we’ll see, we’ll see what happens.”
