Clippers waive guard Jason Preston

The Clippers have officially announced the waiver of guard Jason Preston, as confirmed by ESPN NBA Front Office Insider Bobby Marks.

Preston’s contract, valued at $1.8 million, was on track to become guaranteed on Sunday, leading to the team’s decision to make the move. With this transaction, the Clippers now maintain a roster of 15 guaranteed contracts.

During the previous NBA season, the 24-year-old point guard saw action in 14 games for the Clippers. In those appearances, he contributed an average of 2.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while playing for 8.9 minutes per game.

In addition to his NBA experience, Preston showcased his skills in the G League, suiting up for the Ontario Clippers. Over 21 games, he posted 16.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game while logging 33.1 minutes of playtime.
