The Washington Wizards are facing a setback as guard Landry Shamet will be sidelined for an estimated two-to-four weeks due to a broken big toe, as reported by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Shamet’s journey to Washington began with a trade on June 24, 2023, when he was part of a deal that sent him from the Phoenix Suns to the Wizards. In exchange, the Suns acquired Bradley Beal, Jordan Goodwin, and Isaiah Todd, along with a collection of draft picks.

Last season Shamet averaged 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.2 minute per game for the Suns.
