The Indiana Pacers have made it official by signing point guard Elfrid Payton, as confirmed in a recent press release.
Although the specific details of the agreement were not revealed, Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files mentioned on Twitter that the contract was structured for Payton to rejoin the Mad Ants, Indiana’s NBA G League affiliate.
This strongly indicates that Payton has likely secured an Exhibit 10 contract, making him eligible for a bonus of up to $75K if he gets waived before the season kicks off and spends a minimum of 60 days with the Mad Ants.
