JJ Redick, former NBA sharpshooter, found himself in hot water with Grizzlies fans after comments made during a discussion with fellow former player Evan Turner about potential NBA expansion.

During the conversation, Turner suggested relocating the Grizzlies to Nashville as part of the league’s expansion plans. Redick agreed, inadvertently sparking outrage among Grizzlies fans.

Recognizing the gravity of his comments and the passionate fan base that supports the team, Redick took to his podcast, “The Old Man and The Three,” to issue a heartfelt apology.

“Evan Turner mentioned Nashville… and I cosigned that, and that was a mistake on my part,” Redick confessed. “For all of Memphis and the Grizzlies fans, let me apologize… The Grizzlies should never leave Memphis.”
