Warriors will not sign Dwight Howard

Even though they’ve thoroughly searched the pool of available free agents in the past few weeks, the Golden State Warriors are not anticipated to include an experienced center to their lineup before the start of training camp, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium (Twitter video link).

Dwight Howard had a meeting with the Golden State team this week and was thought to be seriously considered by the team. They had also explored the possibility of signing experienced players like Dewayne Dedmon, Derrick Favors, and Tony Bradley.

Nevertheless, Charania reports that the Warriors have chosen to delay any additions to their frontcourt at this time. They will keep the option open to sign a tall player either during the training camp or later in the regular season, allowing them to maintain flexibility.
