Dillon Brooks, who has become a villain in the NBA, has recently made a daring declaration that is certain to ignite discussions in the basketball world.

“I feel like I’m the best perimeter defender in the tournament, in the NBA, in the world. I feel that I can bring a different type of defense, through my IQ in the game, but also with the discipline I have when I am on the court,” Brooks stated, as reported by Christos Tsaltas of sportal.gr.

This sentiment found support from his national team counterpart, Lu Dort, who concurred, asserting, “Me and Brooks are the best defenders in the world.”

During the FIBA World Cup, Brooks made headlines for being ejected from a game after accumulating two technical fouls. This incident transpired during a highly competitive quarter-finals clash between Canada and Slovenia.

Despite his early exit, Brooks’s determination and his teammates’ contributions propelled Canada to a 100-89 victory, securing their advancement in the tournament.
