Former New York Knicks star John Starks recently shared his perspective on LeBron James’ legacy in an interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson.

Starks believes that LeBron’s frequent team changes may have a detrimental effect on his standing in debates comparing him to basketball icons like Michael Jordan.

Starks explained, “LeBron is hurting his legacy by switching NBA teams so much that it will affect his standing when it comes to LeBron vs. Jordan debates.”

He emphasized that unlike LeBron, Jordan opted for stability in his career and didn’t feel the need to chase other players to join his team.

Starks pointed out that legends like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson also stayed loyal to their respective teams, achieving success without frequently changing franchises.

“Mike didn’t move around, didn’t want to move around,” he said. “He wanted to play against the best. He felt like he didn’t need to go chase players to join his team to beat the best because he felt like he was the best, and I think that’s the difference.

“I think that’s probably going to hurt LeBron when you look at it in that perspective against Michael, [Bird, and Magic. Those guys stayed with one team and they won with that team.”
