Lithuanian champ Zalgiris Kaunas announced on Friday the addition of guard Renaldas Seibutis for the next season with an option for another. Seibutis (1.98 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, where last season he averaged 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 30 regular season games. Seibutis will be coming back to his native Lithuania after having played with Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius from 2011 to 2014. Before that, he played in Spain with Bilbao Basket and in Greece with Olympiacos Piraeus and Maroussi. He started his career with Sakalai, also in Lithuania, in 2003. He was an All-Eurocup First Team selection in 2011-12, and was also a member of the Lithuanian national team, with which he won a silver medal at the 2013 EuroBasket and a bronze medal at the 2010 Worlds.
