Charles Barkley, the iconic NBA figure, praised the Nuggets and their star, Nikola Jokic, for clinching the 2023 NBA championship.
Chuck’s praise came forth during a conversation with Bill Simmons of The Ringer. He lauded the Nuggets’ accomplishment, stating, “Out of all the BS that goes on in the NBA, what the Nuggets and the Joker accomplished just made me feel good.”
In a league often marked by high-profile player movements and dramatic narratives, Barkley acknowledged the contrast presented by Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s championship wins.
He emphasized, “No super teams, no drama. I mean, with Kyrie [Irving] there’s drama. He’s a hell of a player, but there’s drama. That’s the thing. Joker and Giannis, they make me feel good about my sport.”
