But as expected, key components Mirza Teletovic, Nihad Djedovic and Jusuf Nurkic are not included.

Miroslav Todic, a 30-year-old power forward will be Teletovic’s replacement on the roster as coach Dusko Ivanovic still aims for the second round this year.

Also included in Ivanovic’s 12-man squad is promising 20-year-old Nedim Buza, who impressed during last summer’s successful Eurobasket qualifiers.

Alex Renfoe will be the nation’s naturalised player.

“Now that we have finished preparations, I feel very satisfied with what we’ve done,” Ivanovic said.

“While we lost by big margins in some of our initial friendlies, we learned something from them. We improved a little after each one of these 12 warm-up games we played.

“Our main quality is our team play and fighting spirit. Now begins the event we have prepared for and the only thing in our minds is the opening game on Saturday against Poland.”
