The Dallas Mavericks intend to waive center JaVale McGee, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link). Last offseason, McGee signed a contract with Dallas worth over $17 million for three years.
Despite starting in seven games, he soon dropped out of the team’s regular lineup. Throughout his only season with the Mavericks, he played 42 games, averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in just 8.5 minutes per game.
