Dennis Schroder had some words of admiration for his former teammate, Juancho Hernangomez, who recently signed a two-year, €4.5 million deal with Panathinaikos.

The 27-year-old Spaniard returned to European basketball after seven years in the NBA. Among the teams that he played for in the league was the Celtics.

Schroder, who had the opportunity to play alongside Hernangomez in Boston, described him as not only a great basketball talent but also a remarkable human being. “He’s a great human being. I played with him and I enjoyed playing with him. Great shooter,” he said.

Additionally, Schroder couldn’t help but recall the EuroBasket 2022 semi-finals, where Germany faced Spain, led by Hernangomez. Unfortunately for Schroder’s team, Spain emerged victorious in that match and went on to win the European championship.

“We lost against them last year in the semi-finals and they won the European championship. So they got a good man there,” Schroder said.
