The Slovenian national team captain will miss Saturday’s much-anticipated exhibition match against the USA due to precautionary reasons, according to a statement from the Slovenian Federation.
This decision follows Doncic displaying discomfort after a dunk in the second quarter against Spain on Friday. Despite briefly leaving the court, he returned and played through until the fourth quarter.
Doncic concluded the game with 17 points (5-13 shooting), six rebounds, and five assists in 25 minutes during a 79-99 loss to the Spanish team.
