In a recent video posted on X by Under Armor Basketball, NBA superstar Steph Curry took the opportunity to impart his knowledge and expertise to a group of young girls’ basketball players during the summer.

The four-time NBA champion shared invaluable insights, focusing on what he considers to be the weakest move in basketball.

Curry emphasized the importance of constantly being active on the court, moving, and seeking opportunities to get open for a pass. He highlighted that the worst thing players can do is stand still and plead for the ball. Instead, he encouraged players to explore various strategies to create space, such as setting screens, making front and back cuts, and moving away from the ball.

Addressing the aspiring players, Curry stated, “I’m going to try to hammer the point home but as you keep flipping positions, as you keep getting the field, the last thing we can do out here. The last thing we can do is try to get open and then I don’t get it begging, begging, begging for the ball. I don’t care where you are on the court. That’s the last thing we can do. Every other decision is the right one. You got plenty to choose from. Screen away, front cut, back cut, space away from the ball. The last thing we can do is just do this. It’s the weakest move in basketball.”

As one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, Curry’s advice carries significant weight. His dedication to constant movement and off-the-ball plays has been a cornerstone of his success.
