Serbian champ Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade announced on Tuesday the addition of shooting guard Ryan Thompson for the upcoming season. Thompson (1.98 meters, 26 years old) arrives from German champ Brose Baskets Bamberg, where last season he averaged 10.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 17 Eurocup games as a starter, leading the team to the Eighthfinals of the competition. He played college ball at Rider from 2006 to 2010. He soon moved to Europe and played in Italy with Brescia and he then moved to Belgium as he won a national league title with Ostend. This will be Thompson’s debut in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
