As the NBA offseason heats up, potential trades and roster changes are making headlines. One name that has been recently linked to the Clippers is former league MVP James Harden. After requesting a trade from the 76ers, Harden’s potential move to the Clippers has caught the attention of former NBA star Baron Davis.

Davis expressed his enthusiasm for the idea, saying to TMZ Sports, “I think that would be dope. The Clippers need another playmaker and somebody who can get fouled, slow the game down.”

The Clippers, known for their high-octane style, already boast an impressive lineup with stars like Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and the returning Russell Westbrook. According to Davis, Harden’s addition would bring another dimension to the team, making them a formidable contender.

“They already got Paul George, Kawhi, they operate at high-octane. Russ is back,” Davis said. “So having James is just another dimension and just another level to how they can be bona fide contender.”

Known for his versatility and offensive prowess, Harden showcased his skills during the 2022-23 season with the 76ers, averaging an impressive 21 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists in 36.8 minutes per game.

Davis praised Harden’s adaptability, saying, “James is one of the most versatile offensive weapons that we’ve seen in a long time, and I think that he can fit in anywhere, especially with the Clippers.”

As trade speculations continue to swirl, the possibility of Harden donning a Clippers jersey remains uncertain.
