In preparation for the challenging FIBA World Cup, Jordan has made a significant move by enlisting former NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for their national team.

The Jordan Basketball Federation (JBF) revealed that they are in the process of naturalizing the player for the tournament set to begin on August 25 across the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.

Hollis-Jefferson is currently training with the Falcons in Lithuania. If his naturalization is successful, the 28-year-old will be a vital asset for Jordan, especially in the highly competitive Group C, which also includes basketball powerhouses the United States and Greece, along with New Zealand.

Ranked 33rd in the world, Jordan faces a tough challenge as they are the only Asian team competing against two top-10 ranked nations. The FIBA World Cup also offers an Olympic berth for the best-placed Asian squad, motivating teams to bolster their lineups with talent from across the globe.

China has recently announced the naturalization of Kyle Anderson, and the Philippines is also adding NBA star Jordan Clarkson to its roster.
