New Brooklyn Net Lonnie Walker recently gave us all another reminder of just how great former Villanova head coach Jay Wright is as a person when explaining why he passed on the Wildcats for U Miami.

Chris Carrino: “How did Jay Wright let you get out of Pennsylvania?”
Walker: “It was hard. I think my whole family at one point believed that I was going to Villanova. He came, he seen my grandma, my grandma fell in love with him. That’s all she used to talk about is Jay Wright. But I think for me as a man, I wanted to get as far as I can, get off the nest, and kinda learn who I am as a human being.”
