His position in the Golden State Warriors heading to next season might be blurry for now, but Chris Paul has a clear vision of what he should contribute to the contending club.

Scott Fowler of The Charlotte Observer asked Paul about the viewpoint of his upcoming role for the Dubs, and the star point man can only provide a short and blunt response from his part.

“To help us win games.”

Paul’s focal role in Golden State remains a subject of discourse since the club acquired him via trade with the Washington Wizards at the expense of a package featuring Jordan Poole. The Warriors already do employ both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as their undisputed backcourt tandem since before their dynasty started.

In a recent interview with Mercury News, even owner Joe Lacob got no idea how his team will utilize Paul, as he pointed out that the decision will be up to Steve Kerr and his coaching staff.

While previous reports do suggest that Paul is secretly lobbying for himself to enter the Warriors’ starting five, there is no doubt that he can truly help them to achieve greater heights.

One of Paul’s notable feats in his illustrious career is his ability to raise the winning record of his new team for his first campaign with them. This is already evident from the impacts he made for the L.A. Clippers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Phoenix Suns in the past.

While many continue to create chatter about Paul’s impending assignation, it is still safe to assume that he’ll deliver a massive impact for Golden State other than winning games but also to the development of their promising piece in Jonathan Kuminga.
