Jimmy Butler is making situations even more enticing for the Miami Heat after flashing a cryptic celebration in a recent video clip.
Butler, who remains on tour in China for his footwear partnership with Li Ning, played a little one-on-one with a fan in the video. After losing him and sinking a corner trey, the Heat star was pumped up and suddenly pointed at his right wrist as a clock, mimicking Damian Lillard’s infamous “Dame Time” gesture.
The action has been a trademark for Lillard most especially when coming up big and clutch during big-time moments for the Portland Trail Blazers. As such, what Butler did has been shady and it’s only up to every single one how they’ll subjectively interpret it.
Lillard remains hopeful to land in Miami upon requesting to get traded this offseason, but Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier this week that the All-Star guard may need to extend his patience further as the trade process between the Heat and the Blazers has been considerably “stagnant.”
