The Mavericks are looking to add length at the wing position on the defensive end. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN, two restricted free agents match that description and are potential targets for Dallas.
“They’d like to get a big win defender,” MacMahon said about the Mavs. “There’s a couple of restricted free agents to keep an eye on – Matisse Thybulle with the Portland Trail Blazers, Grant Williams with the Boston Celtics.
“Like I said, those guys are restricted free agents and the concern from the Mavericks’ standpoint is – should they sign them to an offer sheet, their teams could exercise their rights to match that offer.”
UPDATE – According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Thybulle intends to sign an offer sheet with the Mavericks.
