One of the highly coveted free agents, Brook Lopez, was asked directly about where he would like to play next. The 35-year-old center gave a tongue in cheek answer.
“You know actually I was thinking Montreal but they don’t even have a baseball team anymore. So that might not work,” he told Malika Andrews on ESPN.
“My choice really would be Seattle honestly. My fear, though, the SuperSonics went away the year I was drafted. So I feel like I might not get that chance because when I’m done, I feel like that year they’ll come back. That will be the Lopez era of the NBA which was terrible because the Sonics never existed.”
Reportedly, the veteran is leaning toward resigning with the Bucks. This past season Lopez averaged 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 30.4 minutes per game.
