After three seasons, FC Barcelona and head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius have mutually agreed to part ways, the club announced.

During his tenure as the Barcelona head coach from 2020 to 2023, Jasikevicius led the team to two Liga Endesa titles (2021, 2023), two Copa del Rey trophies (2021, 2022), and one Liga Catalana championship (2022). Additionally, Barcelona reached the EuroLeague Final Four in each of the three seasons (2021, 2022, 2023).

Barcelona extends its gratitude to Jasikevicius for his professionalism, commitment, dedication, and positive attitude during his time with the club. The Lithuanian coach leaves behind an impressive legacy, having led the team in 268 games, winning 204 of them.

As the club embarks on a new basketball project, Barcelona has reached an agreement with Roger Grimau to take over as the head coach for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2025.

Grimau is a former player for Barça from 2003 to 2011. Over the past two years, he has been the coach of Barca Atletic and the junior team. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, Grimau served as an assistant coach for the second team in LEB Oro and LEB Plata.
