Dwight Howard appears won’t extend his playing service within Taiwan’s T1 league, but the door remains open for a potential opportunity.

Per Keoni Everington of Taiwan News, Howard felt “disrespected” that his club, Taoyuan Leopards, plan to hand him a contract that has a 65 percent pay cut from his salary last season with the team.

The future hall of famer felt that he “brought value to the team” and he can only feel “very disrespected” with regards to the said paycut.

Howard averaged 23.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, and 5 assists, but only suited up in 20 out of 30 games and went on to miss the rest due to injuries. According to team CEO Chang Chien-wei, Howard would have got paid based on a new calculation method and he hoped that the big man played plenty enough to further elevate his value.

Howard made headlines recently after expressing his intent to be back in the NBA and airing his desire to help the Sacramento Kings in winning a championship.
