Olympiacos set to release Macijauskas

One of the most active teams in transfer market this summer, Olympiacos are set to release one of their most expensive players. Since joining the Reds Arvydas Macijauskas has been hit with injuries and was unable to help his team for most of the time. Goalday.gr reports that the club will pay 4.4 million Euros to release Macas.

Macijauskas joined Olympiacos after an unsuccessful season in NBA at New Orleans Hornets. Lithuanian sharp shooter signed 4-year contract with Greek giants. The club will pay the amount that he should have earned in the remaining two years of his contract.

The future of Macas is uncertain as he is still recovering after the injury. He will skip Beijing Olympics and it is unknown when he will be able to play again.

Even though his price on the market should drop, Arvydas Macijauskas should attract the interest of the top European teams.
