Following a catastrophic Game 2 in the NBA Finals for the Denver Nuggets, Michael Porter Jr. didn’t deny the fact that he was swarmed by countless criticisms and hecklings for his poor performance.

Instead of being offended, Porter Jr. intends to use his shortcomings as an inspiration to bounce back heading to Thursday’s Game 3.

“You definitely gotta own it,” he said, via Mike Singer of The Denver Post. “You can’t be sensitive. Me personally, I know I gotta play better. If my teammates tell me that, I’m not going to be sensitive. If I tell that to someone else, like, ‘Yo, you gotta tell me if we need to work on switches.’ They’re not going to be sensitive.”

Porter had a disappointing Game 2 performance in the Nuggets’ loss. He had five points in 2-of-8 shooting to go with six boards in 26 minutes of play.

The Nuggets had a vocal film session on Tuesday tackling about their errors in the Sunday loss. Coach Michael Malone urged his players to owe up their responsibility of allowing the Heat to steal one in front of their home court.

“We all spoke up because (Malone) would have each individual player run through certain plays, tell the team what we see, and then if someone saw something different,” Porter said. “… It was a very vocal film session.”
