Jimmy Butler is the leader of the Heat and his contributions have been crucial for Miami in making it to the NBA Finals this year.
Kyle Lowry spoke about Butler ahead of Game 1 of the Finals, saying that he has a different personality like no other player.
“His personality is very different. He’s one of a kind,” Lowry said. “How he treats his teammates, he treats his friends. It’s like no other. I think that’s what helps us as a group. He may say some things or he may do some things that might be ‘Oh whoa!’ but it’s coming from the best part of his heart.
“When you got a guy like that and you respect him at that level and knowing that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to win basketball games, it treats you at a high level. He’s our leader. So we just follow.”
Butler is averaging 28.5 points, 7 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 39.4 minutes per game in this year’s playoffs.
