It seems there is no hard feelings between Nikola Jokic and Suns owner Mat Ishbia after the incident in Game 4 in Phoenix.
Before Game 5 in Denver, the Serbian superstar walked over to Ishbia and handed him the ball before the two shook hands.
“I don’t have nothing against him,” Jokic said during interview with Inside the NBA crew on TNT. “I would do the same thing if it was somebody else.
“In Phoenix just because, if you guys follow that, that’s what I like to do, I like to inbound the ball real quick and then just get advantage and keep the game going. I just wanted to make fun at least a little bit. And I hope he’s going to pay my fine.”
Ishbia called for the NBA to not suspend Jokic for the incident. The league did not suspend the two-time MVP, but fined him $25,000 instead.
