The NBA has announced its All-Defensive Teams for the 2022-2023 season, recognizing the best defensive players in the league. The NBA All-Defensive First Team features Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies (195 points), Jrue Holiday of the Milwaukee Bucks (192 points), Brook Lopez of the Bucks (181 points), Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers (132 points), and Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls (125 points).

The NBA All-Defensive Second Team includes Derrick White of the Boston Celtics (99 points), Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors (89 points), O.G. Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors (81 points), Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies (54 points), and Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat (53 points).

Mobley, Caruso, White, Anunoby, and Brooks earned their first-ever All-Defensive Team selection. Green, on the other hand, earned his eighth All-Defensive Team selection, including four First Team and four Second Team selections.

The selection process involved a global panel of 100 sports writers and broadcasters who voted for the NBA All-Defensive Teams. The panel selected two guards, two forwards, and one center for each team, and players were awarded two points for each First Team vote and one point for each Second Team vote. The results reflect the players’ performance throughout the regular season, and their defensive contributions to their teams.
