Jayson Tatum on if Celtics relaxed in absence of Joel Embiid

The Celtics failed to take advantage of the absence of Joel Embiid as they lost Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the 76ers.

Boston just could not handle James Harden who tied his personal playoff high by dropping game-high 45 points.

After the game Jayson Tatum was asked if his team relaxed a little bit knowing that there will be no Embiid in the game.

“Maybe so,” he said. “But give the other guys credit. I mean Harden had 45, Melton hit five threes, those other guys stepped up and played big and knocked down shots.”
