Tom Thibodeau provides update on Julius Randle

Julius Randle is questionable for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Heat due an ankle injury.

According to Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau, the 28-year-old power forward has only been doing rehabilitation work.

“Questionable. Didn’t do [much], just mainly rehab stuff. He’s day to day until we’ll see where he is tomorrow. He’s not limping, but he hasn’t done anything on the court other than the shooting. He did some stuff on the court though.

“The thing is we’re not going t put them in harm’s way. He has a lot of say in it, the medical people have a say in it as well. So, i he gets back to the baseline that everyone is comfortable with, then he plays.

“If not, I trust our medical people, I trust Julius and we have more than enough. So we’re hopeful that he plays, but if he doesn’t, then just get out there and get it done.”

Randle is averaging 14.4 points 6.4 rebounds and 3 assists in 28.6 minutes per game in the playoffs.
