The Warriors won for the third time in a row against the Kings (123-116) to take a 3-2 lead in the first round series after going 0-2 in the first two games.

Steph Curry led the defending champions in scoring with 31 points, also dishing out 8 assists. Klay Thompson added 25 points. Draymond Green was a surprise contributor with 21 points off the bench.

Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr was asked if the team planned to utilise Green on the offensive end.

“We’ve talked about it throughout the series that our bigs need to be aggressive, especially the way Sacramento is guarding us or putting a lot of pressure on the perimeter. So, Draymond found some openings tonight and attacked the rim well and really finished well,” Kerr said.
