The Milwaukee Bucks will look to continue fighting without their top player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania that Antetokounmpo won’t be able to return in their first-round opener against the Miami Heat because of a lower back contusion.

The superstar was shaken up after falling awkwardly in the Kevin Love charge stance with less than five minutes left in the first frame. He went to the locker room but proceeded to play and logged six points and three boards in 11 minutes.

The Bucks are dipped in deep water heading to the second half, down by 14 against the Heat, 66-52. Jimmy Butler has been tearing up with 24 first-half points, shooting 11-of-17 from the field.

With Giannis out, Bobby Portis (15), Khris Middleton (14), and Jrue Holiday (7) are leading Milwaukee so far in points, but they have a challenging task of overcoming Miami’s double-digit deficit this Game 1.
