Last summer Kyrie Irving was linked with the Lakers with both sides reportedly showing interest in joining forces.
The ex-teammate of LeBron James ended up staying with the Nets. Though it wasn’t for long as he forced a trade in February and landed with the Mavericks.
Since then the thinking was that Los Angeles is no longer interested in soon-to-be free agent Irving, especially due to salary cap limitations.
But former NBA player Matt Barnes thinks nothing is impossible for the Lakers if they really want to make it happen.
“When the Lakers want someone, they get him,” the 2017 NBA champion said on What’s Burnin podcast.
