This year’s overachievers the Kings (3-seed) will face the Warriors (6-seed) in the first round of the playoffs.
Sacramento’s head coach Mike Brown, who joined the team after serving as an assistant to Steve Kerr in Golden State, thinks that it would be great if a rivalry developed between the two teams.
“First of all, I’m not sure it’s a rivalry yet,” Brown said. “If it can end up being it, then fantastic. I think rivalries are great in any competition out there.
“It adds extra juice to the whole environment or atmosphere whenever two teams play each other. I’m all for it. I wouldn’t say it’s quite there yet, but if it does get there, it would be awesome.”
