Christian Wood is playing his first season with the Mavericks but it could also be the last one for him in Dallas for the near future at least.

The 27-year-old forward will become an unrestricted free agent in summer and it is thought that the Mavs are unlikely to offer him a new deal, according to Marc Stein.

Interestingly, Mark Cuban refused to make a comment about Wood’s future while openly declaring desire to re-sing Kyrie Irving.

This season Wood is averaging 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 25.9 minutes per game off the bench.
