Starting from next season, NBA players will be eligible for individual awards only if they play a minimum of regular season games under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

NBA insider Shams Charania reports that this number is 65 which is 79 percent of all regular season games.

Interestingly, this season of the three MVP frontrunners only Nikola Jokic (67 games) would meet that criteria if the new rule was applicable.

Though Joel Embiid (62 games) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (61 games) still have enough games left to cross the threshold of 65 games.
