Ivkovic didn’t call Rakocevic, Jaric and Radmanovic

Dusan Ivkovic, head coach of the Serbia national team, decided not to call Igor Rakocevic, Vladimir Radmanovic and Marko Jaric for the upcoming qualifications for the European championship in Poland 2009. Serbia will play against Italy, Finland, Hungary and Bulgaria, starting from the 20th of august.

Ivkovic explained that he thinks the national team of Serbia must start a rebuilding process, and hopes that buy Olimpics 2012. it will be back on the wining track. Besides Jaric, Rakocevic and Radmanovic, Aleksandar Pavlovic won’t play for the “eagles” because of the problems he had during the European championship preperations in 2005, while Predrag Stojakovic is not phisically fit.

Dusan Ivkovic chose 19 players – guards: Milos Vujanic (Dynamo Moscow), Bojan Popovic (Unicaja), Stefan Markovic (Hemofarm), Milos Teodosic (Olympiacos), Uros Tripkovic (Partizan), Dusan Kecman (Partizan), Bojan Krstovic (FMP); forwards: Luka Bogdanovic (Le Mans), Branko Cvetkovic (Akasvayu Girona), Vuk Radivojevic (Fuenlabrada), Milenko Tepic (Partizan), Novica Velickovic (Partizan), Zoran Erceg (FMP), Tadija Dragicevic (Red Star), Ivan Radenovic (Akasvayu Girona); centers: Nenad Krstic (New Jersey Nets), Darko Milicic (Memphis Grizzlies), Kosta Perovic (Golden State Warriors) and Boban Marjanovic (Hemofarm).
