Patrick Beverley thinks that the Lakers misused him while he was on the team. It is a different in Chicago, he says.

According to the 34-year-old point guard, the Bulls are using him for what he does best.

Via K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports:

“If I’m a spoon, (coach) Billy (Donovan) is using me as a spoon. With the Lakers, I was a spoon and they were using me as a fork. It’s just different,” Beverley said. “But I’m fortunate that the Bulls called during the trade. I don’t want to let the city down. And obviously Billy and my players and this coaching staff, I don’t want to let them down. Just try to play the game the right way.”

Beverley is averaging 5.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 28.4 minutes per game for the Bulls. Most recently he helped Chicago defeat the Lakers 118-108.
