Gregg Popovich got an interesting experience with his youthful San Antonio Spurs team this season that he wasn’t able to feel during the glory days of the franchise.

For the legendary mentor, his young players around San Antonio give him “exciting” vibes as this serves differently from their dominance in the previous years.

This 2022-23 season marks the first full-time rebuild year that the Spurs have committed to transition themselves for a new basketball chapter.

After winning five NBA titles and being a mainstay in championship contention for over 20 years with some of the greats in Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Kawhi Leonard, this campaign serves as a fresh beginning for the club to try to bring back their good old days.

As the Spurs are stuffed with youth and energetic promising players, they have truly committed themselves to rebuild. With a 19-55 record, they have a chance to gain the massive odds of drafting French wunderkind Victor Wembanyama.

With Popovich still looking to stick around and perfectly mold the future of the franchise in a new era, the San Antonio fandom can only be patient and happy for brighter days to come.
