Partizan through to the finals

Partizan has beaten Red Star 89:80 in the second match of the semifinal series and is now through to the final of the Serbian championship. Black&whites will be chasing the seventh consecutive title against FMP or Hemofarm who will play the third decisive game on Monday (series tied 1-1).

Again Nikola Pekovic led Partizan with 20 points and 6 rebounds, while Dusan Kecman was the man of the match with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. He hit two free throws which ended Red Star`s late 13:0 run ande sealed the victory. Omar Cook scored 21 points for the losers, on his farewell from the Red Star crowd. After the match he confirmed that he is leaving Serbia and also that he got he Montenegrian citizenship, so he will be playing for Partizan coach Dusko Vujosevic, also the coach of the Montenegro NT. Red Star had many injuries prior to the second game with Partizan. Subotic and Bakic were out, while captain Tadija Dragicevic played only 6 minutes.

Hemofarm won 76:66 an tied the series with FMP thanks to 18 points apiece by Rawle Marshall and Stefan Markovic.  Zoran Erceg had 29 points for  the visitors, third game will be played in Zeleznik.
