It has been reported that the Cavaliers want to meet the Nets in the playoffs because they view Brooklyn as a favorable opponent.
Nets’ center Nic Claxton is not worried about what opponent his team will get in the playoffs and is focused on clinching a high seed.
“We’ll match up with anybody,” Claxton said, per Brian Lewis of New York Post. “We’re just trying to take it game-by-game, win as many games as we can and get as high a seed as possible. And if that’s our matchup, then we’ll take care of them.”
As things stand now, Cleveland (4-seed) would not face Brooklyn (6-seed) unless they move in the standings.
